Aakrosh.....!!!

I watched the movie last week and I was so touched by the story. There are still the places in India where the same stories happen. We - the modern Indians - boast ourselves that we are progressing, becoming a great country ! By finalizing a new Ruppe symbol and hosting the CWG Delhi 2010 ( The greatest corruption ever by shri...), we fantasize that the India is leading towards the super power ! But has anyone ever think what happens to the people in the villages like Jhanjhar.

Get it on Amazon.com
Well we can write pages and pages if we want to talk about the corruption, politics in India and all this crap.

Let us have a look at what Priyadarshan has tried to show in the movie.

Built around a sensitive topic of honour killing, Aakrosh in no way is a speech against caste and religious intolerance. It is a story well told with no preaching.
The film revolves around a lower caste guy who had gone along with his 2 friends to a village – Jhanjhar in Bihar, his native place, to watch Ramleela. These 3 students of Delhi University go missing in the dusty village. Earlier during 3 months there was no clue where the young students have vanished. Media and students movement all over Bihar takes a pivotal step for getting hint of these students, its then government appoints CBI officers Sidhant Chaturvedi and Pratap kumar and find out the truth under it. A person residing in Bihar himself and, Pratap understands the intricacies of race relations in small towns like Jhanjhar. Pratap tries to use his charm and smartness to crack investigation whereas Sidhant has a very no non-sense, direct approach investigation. It’s simply a clash of personalities and ideologies.
Investigating in Jhanjhar becomes a tough task for these officers as the local police force Headed by Bhura Ram with the help of local MP’s and landlords run a major branch of the Shool Sena. At the same time the two officers cannot break the ice with local Low cast community members, due to years of fear instilled in them by regular and highly planned Shool sena attacks. Roshni (daughter of the most powerful and richest person of village) acts as a key element to reveal certain realities and give a new direction to the investigation.
Soon the effect of their investigation causes mayhem in Jhanjhar, with riots, burning of houses and killing of peasants in broad daylight. Slowly Pratap with Siddhant’s help starts cracking the case by exerting his influence upon Geeta (a victim to the same inhumanity), who acts as a final key to the investigation. How amongst the animosity created by Shool Sena and the fear of losing more peasants do Pratap and Sidhant solve this mysterious case is explained with a chain of exciting, funny and intelligent events that form the climax of the story.

New rupees symbol and the India's optimism !!

It gives me immense pleasure as an Indian that we are now among the exclusive club of the countries which have their own symbol for their currency. It will soon appear on the Indian currency and will get its place in the world economy. It will raise India's economic profile. The symbol very well represents the Devnagri and Roman script. At the same time it also represents the present Indian culture - Original Indian culture influenced by the western culture.
But this is not it !! India is very optimistic for the symbol that it will raise the profile of Indian economy in the world economy . there is hardly any justification for this optimism. The basic reason why any currency would have its own symbol is so that it can easily be distinguished in the global financial transactions. At present the US Dollar, Japanese Yen, British Pound and European Euro are the most freely convertible currencies in the global financial transactions. Indian Rupee is nowhere used for any international financial transactions. So unless and until the Indian currency gets its place in the international transactions the symbol for the Indian currency will not get its place in the global economy. We are fool if we think that the world will eagerly take to the new rupee symbol.
We live in a country where we can see the growing economy but the signs of it is visible in the smallest part of the country. There is a huge region in the country which is still not getting the basic things of the life to live. We live in a country where 15 out of 28 of its states are having the violent internal conflicts. Despite of this growing economy we see the urban-rural divide, very high unemployment rate, farmer suicides and chronic hunger ! We might see the days when all of the states of the country will be infected by this problems.
To tackle all of these problems and to prove the meaning of the symbol we need to do something for the country so that the next generation of the country can live in the peaceful India with the very powerful economy in the world.
The best way for this is to start with the youth of the country. As Chetan Bhagat's recent article 'The Wrong Diagnosis' in the TOI, he has shouted about all of these problems in the country and how to tackle them ! I suggest you read the article and not only just read it try to implement it. Do something for the country before its too late !!

Michael Scofield - My Hero

Michael Scofield - a creative genius , one of the most intelligent, cool, sensible and the best human being I have ever seen on television. Sometimes I wonder why I dont find such characters in the real life and why is it restricted to the reel life only ? At the same time I would like to ask all why is it not possible in the real life ?

According to the story, Michael has been clinically diagnosed with low latent inhibition, a condition in which his brain is more open to incoming stimuli in the surrounding environment. As a result of this condition he is unable to block out peripheral information and instead processes every aspect and detail of any given stimulus. This, combined with a high IQ, as a psychiatrist explains in the episode "Tweener", theoretically makes him a creative genius. His intelligence is well noticed even by his enemies with Mahone during season 2 making various comments about Michael's intelligence even holding a certain admiration to him as told in the episode "Otis" In "The Art of the Deal" after successfully breaking out of 2 prisons (Fox River & Sona) he is even offered a place in The Company.

As a result of being unable to block out other people's suffering, he is extremely empathetic and altruistic towards other people's emotions; he is more concerned with other people's welfare than his own. However, Michael often is outwardly taciturn and stoic, rarely allowing the dangerous element he's frequently surrounded by to penetrate his thoughts.

Scofield has a very strong moral sense and is cool and reasonable. He knows that if he or his allies turn to kill rather than subdue their enemies, they will gradually lose themselves and eventually everything. Brad Bellick, Theodore "T-bag" Bagwell, Alexander Mahone, James Whistler and overall Gretchen Morgan, all people with much blood on their hands are only alive or survived as long as they did because Michael spared them.

Michael Scofield is now one of the ideal persons I would like to follow in my life. Hats off to Michael Scofield.Justify Full

Y am I so alone ?

I see a lot of people roaming arond me. I see a lot of people walking down the streets. I see a lot of people seating around me while I am working. I see a lot of people chatting and charming in the cafe and the restaurants. I can really not understand why am I feeling so alone then ?

I do have lots of friends to chat and to roam around with. I do have lots of friends at my workplace. I also enjoy having coffee and chatting with the friends at some good cafe. Then what is the reason I am so alone ? I keep thinking all alone why do I feel so alone ? But I am not alone. It is just the fear of loosing friends that I am having all the time. Manier times I sit and try to figure it out. And guess what it is ? whoa whoa ! Some time it happens that the people you like to be with leaves you at some point of time. So even when you are surrounded by the lot many people you feel alone.

I work in a big team. But now a days I can not concentrate on my work as I used to do some time ago. People with whom I enjoyed working have left. New people have joined but i dont get that feeling. I understand as the time passes everything gets on the right place. But what do I do at the moment ? So at this time I am feeling the same things when you go to some strange place and meet the strangers. Or you are joining a new team inspite of you are the oldest member of that group or place. But then I think of the situation when I was the new member of the team. I was supported well by the old members. So am I doing the same to the new members whom I meet ? I should give the new members a chance to enter in my life. But then what ? What if some day they also leave me ? Again the same days. Same story. Same situation of feeling lonely. Then what is the solution to get out of this ???

A succeessful year ! Journey begins now...

March 23 2009, when I had started my career at Cognizant, Hyderabad. After waiting almost a year after passing the Engineering, when I got the joining call from the HR Cognizant, I could not believe my ears. I was sleeping when I attended the call. I was surprised and was very much happy because I had got what I had been waiting for a long time - A joinig date at Cognizant.

Now I am in Pune and a year has passed away and I have successfully completed a year at Cognizant and at the same time in the IT industry. I must thank my company for exposing me to the booming IT world. During the year I have learned so many things which includes interpersonal skills, team building etc. etc. And of course the technical skills. Yes, I have also won a spot award called "ACE" for quick learning and good contribution to the project in the first 2-3 months after I joined my first project after completing my training at Hyderabad.

Oh! how can I forget my days at Hyderabad during my training in Cognizant ? Those were the best days of my life. Eventhough I was a stranger among other 29 strangers, all the 29 trainees of my batch seems friends forever to me now. I can never forget the days I have spent with them at Hyderabad. Some of the friends I would never forget in my life are Sumant, Monalisa, Chaitanya, Mithila, Ishu, Sindu,Jay and Amal. Oh my dear friends never ever forget this stupid friend Vimal in your life. And thanks all of you for sharing the great friendship with me.

Many times it seems that the days go so fast. The time is not allowing me to go ahead of it. But it's its tendency !! Sometime somewhere I will defeat the time and I will win the race and that is my promise. And I am sure that my family and friends will be there to support me forever. journey begins now...

Swadeshi Apnavo

People are more attracted to brand names these days. Starting from the lower middle class to the high profile people are opting for the brand names rather than going for any local or not so familiar products. they generally believe that the quality is assured along with the name. But is it really the case ? I mean do the famous brand company products come with the good quality for which they are costing too much ? Is it really worth spending too much money for a product just because of the brand name ? What if any local company provides the same quality product with the same cost or lesser than that ?

Today the scenario is that the foreign companies are making money while the local companies are loosing their business. Can you recall the "Swadesi movement" ?

The Swadeshi(Hindi: स्वदेशी) movement, part of the Indian independence movement, was a successful economic strategy to remove the British Empire from power and improve economic conditions in India through following principles of swadeshi (self-sufficiency).

"Swadeshi is that spirit in us which requires us to serve our immediate neighbours before others, and to use things produced in our neighbourhood in preference to those more remote. So doing, we serve humanity to the best of our capacity. We cannot serve humanity by neglecting our neighbours"

In the final words, if we can avail the same quality product from a local or Indian company why to choose foreign product ? Let the domestic product companies grow instead of such foreign companies.

Take an example, Instead of using a LUX soap go for Hamam or Moti. Instead of Arial go for a Hena,Sasa,Nirma. Instead of Cello products go for Nilkamal. Instead of a Videocon or Whirlpool go for a Godrej product. Instead of Fair and Lovely go for a Vicco Termeric. There are many such examples to give. And last but not the least go for a Tata vehicle. Go for a Bazaz vehicle.

Let us start the same "Swadwshi movement" again to save our country , economy and our people. Please join your hand in the movement and spread the message ahead.

Sathi hath badhana.
